Brand name licensing arrangements would clearly attract the charge of service tax under the heading of Intellectual Property Services.But there is limit of Minimum royalty income is Rs.10,00000 below which income is not taxable, in your case service tax will not be applicable.

Central Excise department is pressuring us to get regristration Under the heading of Intellectual Property Services, whether your income from royality is less than Rs.10,00,000-00. Please suggest me that should i go for registration with central excise department
