Service tax on returnable security deposit

It security deposit is returnable then there is no service tax... law says so... My doubt is... what about the interest that is earned on the security deposit.. Do we add it to the consideration and charge service tax or is it not subject to service tax?

in my view interest earned is not a service and hence not liable to service tax
