Service tax on petty contractor

I have petty contractor i have reased bill to main contractor can make service tax liability or liability on main contractor my Turn over is more than 10 Lac.

11 May 2012 Do you have service tax registration?? if yes, you need to charge service tax in your bills.

15 May 2012 First you need to register with service tax laws and get a service tax number than only you can charge service tax in your bill.for more info on this, please see SERVICE TAX PROCEDURES at http://www.servicetax.gov.in/st-procedures-new.htm
