Dear Sir, I have a Trading unit.I am paying Freight Inward & outward above 10 lac. I want to know that the service tax liability is my or Transporters.

Liability to pay service tax is on the person who is paying frieght. THus since your are paying frieght you are liable to pay service tax on 25% of Value of taxable Service. In this case SSI exmeption of 10 lacs is not available. But first do check with the transporter also whether he had not paid service tax on it.
