Service tax on bank commission

25 June 2013 If a bank make a demand draft and charge commission income from customer then bank is liable to pay service tax on commission income.if yes please tell me whats a percentage of service tax rate.?
is there any abatement or exemption?

25 June 2013 Yes, bank will also be liable to pay service tax on commission and service charges at the rate of 12.36%.
