WHETHER SERVICE TAX IS APPLICABLE ON TRANSPORTER PROVIDING TRANSPORT SERVICES IN NATIONAL HIGHWAY PROJECTS

Even otherwise GTA service is now under reverse charge mechanism. So, if the service receiver is a Government body, then it is the Government's liability to pay the tax, if applicable.

there is no exemption of ST in any case, unless notified specifically for the project/work by govt of india.
