Service tax changeability and classification of services

09 October 2011 Dear All,

we are providing repairing/ job work services to our clients and we raise the bill as labour charges...whether we are liable to pay service tax...if yes then in which service code it is going to fall...how we can classify the services...

further we are having HUF can we apply for service tax number for HUF..is there any complication for applying the same...

You have not provided your services description, however, in general you may be register your self in "Business Aauxiliary Catagory"

further we are having HUF can we apply for service tax number for HUF..is there any complication for applying the same...

Service Tax Registration should always be in the name of owner of the business who is having other registrations like VAT, Income-Tax etc.
