What are the criteria of a firm to get registered with CBEC for service tax number?

When value of Taxable Service provided crosses Rs 9 Lacs you need to apply for service tax registration no in form ST1. When Taxable value of Service Tax crosses Rs 10 Lacs you need to start paying service tax.
