02 May 2012 I want to know about service tax and its return filing due date and challan deposit date for FY 2012-13.

Can we file service tax return monthly, Quartly, Half yearly or yearly. What is the rule of filing of Service tax return.

02 May 2012 Till now service tax return is required to be filed half yearly. However in letter explaining amendment by Budget 2012, revenue has cleared that they are planing to make provision regarding filing of st return monthly, qtrly, half year based on value of services rendered. Till now no provision has been made.
