I would like to know whether it is necessary that supplier should show Duty and service tax separately to calim Duty and service tax credit..

18 December 2009 Yes, mentioning of Excise duty and Service tax payable are statutorily mandatory and it is not a matter of convenience. As Rule 11(2) of the Central Excise Rules,2002 and Rule 4A of Service Tax Rules,1994 are very specific to this effect.
