IF IT IS POSSIBLE TO CHARGE SERVICE TAX ON THE SALE OF SOFTWARE AND THEN CHARGE CST ON THE TOTAL OF ASSETS VALUE + SERVICE TAX COMPONENT.

No an item can be goods or service and cannot be both... Package software are goods thus only VAT and no service tax however in case of licenses of software only service tax and no VAT...

If the software has been customised by the vendor as per your requiremnets then service tax may be applicable.
