PL CONFIRM SERVICE TAX 12.36% IS APPLICABLE ON SERVICE CHARGES OR ON THE GROSS AMOUNT OF THE BILL

Your question needs clarification.
If the entire bill value is for the service rendered by the party (other than in the negative list) service tax is payable on Gross amount. On the other hand, if material is supplied and service charges is added in the bill, only for service charge the tax is payable.
