when savings a/c having sweep facilty is opened on wife's name and online transactions are made from husband's a/c to her savings a/c then whether it is essential to pay the self assesment tax for the interest from sweep a/c of wife by the husband?if tds at a flat rate is already deducted from the wife's a/c as viewed from 26AS.

It is not necessary that the self assessment tax should be deposited from the husband's account.
