04 October 2007 Whit is STT ? Is it impose on all transaction of shares or only on daily trading of shares ?

04 October 2007 Securities Transaction Tax is a tax imposed on the net trading activity of the shares transactions. It is to be borne by the person who transacts the shares.

05 October 2007 What do you mean by net trading activity of shares ? Is it different from Daily trading of Shares ?

01 November 2007 Net trading activity means net position of buying and selling.

02 November 2007 I hope net trading is clear. Daily Trading means you may trade in your account say 100 shares of Reliance Buy and then 100 shares of ACC sell. These are daily trading. If you see net trading then net position of both will be taken in account. You may be net buyer or net seller.

09 November 2007 Thanks for the inputs

12 November 2007 Very useful.

12 November 2007 STT means security transaction tax and charged on all dealings

08 March 2008 On all share transactions
