12 December 2009 a.Deduction under section 80-C is allowable, against the gifts treated as income.

Please Give Me The Case Laws Regarding the abonementioned matters because i dont belief it is right but a close friend who is a CA & doing law has told me .

So please require a case laws.

Please.

In law; your belief will not work; the provisions made in the law will work.

Law says that out of gross total income (gift is being treated at Income from Other Sources) 80C deductions are available.

Gift is a part of your gross total income.
