23 August 2014 1. when there is a mistake apparent from the records.

2.in all cases they issue intimation under this section.

In case of refund or short payment of tax they issue intimation or even if there is no tax liability or refund they issue intimation? If nil return is filed do they issue Assessment Order?

Secondly, when is section 143(3) applicable?

sec 143(3) is applicable when dept wasnts to make a detailed assessment i.e scuritny assessment
