Sale of Software Licence

30 October 2009 Hi Guys,

if we import a software (licence) from US and resale it in India which taxes will be applicable to us??

1. custom duty??
2. VAT??
3. Service Tax??
4. if we add service tax in the invoice and bill to customer will our customer deduct TDS from it??

Its lit bit urgent, waiting for your reply.

This issue is really become very confusing now,

1) Custom Duty - Depending on Nature of Software

2) VAT - 4 % on all software sales

3) Service Tax- also "confusing" due to change in defination
