31 July 2013 Dear experts

in our company salary structure is 75000/- pm if a employee

Basic 30% of gross i.e. 22500/-
hra 50% of basic i.e. 11250/-
medical allowance 1250/-
conveyance 800/- and the remaining amount in gross salary is
special allowance is 39200/-

But Please give me the best salary structure to save tax on salary.

03 August 2013 You can add Children education allowance, LTA, Food etc. to reduce the tax liability

As you suggested that can i add food allowance in the form of cash instead of food coupons if can i have that please how much food allowance is eligible to exempt from tax.

05 August 2013 In case allowance provide as food allowance is fully taxable, no exemption

Only Food coupons and food facility during officer hours eligible for exemption up to Rs.50 per meal ( non alcoholic)
