If profession tax is paid by employer and employee both i.e suppose 5000 is Prof tax and out of it 4000 is paid by employer. Thn what will be the tax treatment i.e deduction u/s 16

Shruti I think u r asking abut Provident Fund. P Tax is Other think. U can claim deduction individually for both employer n employee for their individual deduction.

irrespective of who pays, the deduction is available to the employee. Employer will include the payment made by him in your salary.
