i want to ask whether , Employer's contribution to ESI or EPF form part of Salary which is debited in Profit & loss a/c.

28 June 2012 Yes, Employers contribution as well as employee's contribution is part of the salary debited to P&L account.

Instead of employee getting the full salary, some portion of the same is contributed in these funds.

It is also a requirement to disclose these contrinutions seperately in Salarie sand Wages.
