Vacancy details: A total of 480 vacancies available for Management Trainee jobs. 408 vacancies for Management Trainee Technical and 72 vacancies for Management Trainee Administration.
Pay scale: The salary for SAIL Management Trainee will be in the range of20600-3%-46500(E-1). After training period they will be designated as Junior Managers with the same payscale. The approximate CTC will be around7 lakhs p.a. They are also entitled for other benefits like HRA, medical, leave and other benefits as per norms.
Age limit: The age limit for SAIL MT 2012 recruitment is that, the candidate should not be above 30 years as on 01.05.2012. Relaxation of upper age limit is as per Govt. rules.
Educational qualification: The academic qualification required for SAIL MT Technical and Administration is as follows.
For SAIL MT Technical jobs 2012: The candidate should have acquired a minimum of 65% aggregate marks in Bachelor degree of Engineering (55% for SC/ST candidates) in the areas of Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgy, E&T, Instrumentation, Ceramics and Chemical Engineering.
For SAIL MT Administration jobs 2012: To apply for HR and Materials the candidate should have a degree in any discipline with 60% aggregate marks and 50% for SC/ST candidates. But they need to have completed two years full time MBA/PG diploma in Management with 60% marks in HR/PM&IR/Pers /MHROD for HR and Production/ Operations/ Materials Mgmt. for Materials disciplines. To apply for MT-Finance, the candidates have to be CA/ICWA from a recognized university or Institute.
Selection process for SAIL MT 2012 recruitments
The selection is based on written test followed by Group discussion and Personal Interview. The written test for SAIL MT 2012 will be of objective type multiple choice questions and the candidates have to take the written test on any of the following examination centres. The shortlisted candidates will then be called for GD/PI for which the candidates can get SAIL MT Call letters from the official website and also they will be intimated through mail.

The SAIL MT admit card will have the information regarding the examination and the candidates have to take their test in any of the centres at Agartala, Allahabad, Bangalore, Baroda, Bhilai, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Bokaro, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi (NCR), Durgapur, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Ranchi, Rourkela, Salem, Trichy, Vijaywada and Visakhapatnam. The written test for both MT Technical and MT Administation will be held on the same day on forenoon and afternoon respectively.
How to apply for SAIL recruitment 2012 for MT vacancies
Application fees: Candidates belongs to General and OBC category have to remit Pay in Slip for500/- and SC/ST/PH and Departmental candidates have to remit100/- towards examination and processing fees. The candidates have to get the pay in slip from the official website. The fees can be paid on nearby SBI branches in the account number 32286155304 at CAG Branch, New Delhi. The receipt will contain the journal number and branch code which needs to be entered on the online application form.
How to apply: The candidates who wish to apply for both technical and administration have to apply separately for each post with prescribed fees. Candidates should get their photo and signature scanned for uploading. Then access the SAIL official website to fill the online application form for SAIL MT 2012 recruitment. Fill the details and hit the submit button, upon which you will get a registration slip which contains unique registration number and you need to take the print out for future reference.
