revert back of cenvat

23 June 2009 we have exported a material under rebate claim.we dabited the duty from cenvat register

now we don`t want to claim the rebate from excise because we have got the drawback from the same shipment

we have submitted the proof of export with the excise department within the statuatory period

now can we revert back the excise duty amount to our cenvat register which we dabited at the time of export

pls advice

24 June 2009 Not sure whether you can do the same sou moto. Further you may verify whether under drawback the credit can be availed. I think not.
However better you write withdrawing the claim. and seek guidacne from dept.
