In case of a contractor, having service tax registration. His annual turnover is below the limit of 10 lacs. Do he require to charge service tax on his bill amount.
Please advise.

03 April 2012 No, he is not required to charge service tax on the bill amount if the amount of taxable services in the current year and preceding year does not exceed 10 lacs.
