my friend wants to open a restaurant. only take away and delivery. please suggest me what documents are required and what all the legal requirements for the same.

For obtaining license, you may apply in the prescribed form to the Addl. Commissioner (Food), Block, Vikas Bhawan, I.P.Estate, New Delhi-110 002. You can see the prescribed application form for obtaining license in food items mentioned above in the section "License and Certificates" of this website by clicking on Food & Supplies department. You may download the required application form and present the duly filled in hard copy to Addl. Commissioner (Food) alongwith the prescribed and the following documents-
Rent Receipt/Rent Agreement/Sale Deed of the Business Premises, and Godowns for legal and physical possession. Bank Statement of the Current Account of the firm. Photo Identity Card/Ration Card of the applicant. Partnership deed in case of partnership firm. Affidavit of non contravention of Essential Commodities Act, 1955, NOC from Delhi Pollution Control Committee. NOC from Health Department of MCD.
Currently, the following control orders are also imposed on Wholesale Dealers in Delhi and license requirement is necessary for all wholesale Dealers, those trading in Sugar, Pulses, Rice and Edible Oid.
