Good morning expert, My friend”s madical bill is for the year of 2009 amount is 14000. Sir I want to know only that can he take deduction of this bill in this f.y 2012-2013 under madical remburisement upto 15000.

Rajiv, Medical expenses incurred during the financial year will alone admissible and accordingly deduction is allowable.
In this case medical bill of Rs.14000/- pertains to the year 2009 which can be claimed as deduction during the FY 2009-10 only. Medical expenses of Rs.15000/- can not be extended or claimed in any FY other than actual incurred during the relevant FY.
