I am earning 20,000pm,50,000pm,25,000pm,21,000pm,5000pm,from different properties and i would like to know is service tax applicable to me and what type of investments can be done inorder to save taxes

22 February 2011 If they all are commercial properties then service tax would be leviable as total rent would exceed Rs. 10 lakhs for the year.

The service tax is to be collected from the parties to whom property is let out and to be paid to the government.
