Rent paid receipt for deduction

10 April 2012 my monthly rent is Rs 6000/- plus water charges 200/- & elcetricity charges Rs 700/- ie total amt Rs 6900/- while calculating exemption limit my HR is considering only Rs 6000/- per month..but i pay 6900/- every month..so what amt have to be considered for exemption limit 6000 or 6900
