If yes, please provide details procedure. The certificate issued after registration donat have any expiry date .

10 July 2024 In West Bengal, societies registered under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act, 1961 do not require renewal. Once a society is registered under this Act, the registration is valid indefinitely unless the society is dissolved or its registration is canceled by the Registrar of Societies for any specific reasons provided under the Act.

Here are some key points regarding the registration of societies under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act, 1961:

1. **Validity**: The registration of a society remains valid unless canceled or dissolved. There is no requirement for periodic renewal of registration.

2. **Certificate**: The certificate issued after registration does not typically have an expiry date. It serves as proof of registration and is valid as long as the society exists and operates within the guidelines of the Act.

3. **Compliance**: Societies are required to comply with the provisions of the West Bengal Societies Registration Act, 1961, and any rules or regulations issued under it. This includes maintaining proper records, submitting annual reports, and complying with any directions or requirements of the Registrar.

4. **Changes and Amendments**: If there are any changes in the society, such as amendments to its constitution, change of office bearers, or change of address, these changes should be intimated to the Registrar of Societies. However, these changes do not affect the validity of the original registration.

5. **Dissolution or Cancellation**: If a society wishes to dissolve voluntarily or if the Registrar has reasons to cancel the registration (for example, due to non-compliance or any other legal grounds), specific procedures outlined in the Act need to be followed.

Since the West Bengal Societies Registration Act, 1961 does not provide for renewal of registration, societies are not required to undergo any renewal process. The focus is on maintaining compliance with the Act and ensuring that any changes or updates are communicated to the Registrar in a timely manner.

If there are specific administrative or legal queries regarding the operation of a society under this Act, it is advisable to consult with a legal professional or directly with the Registrar of Societies in West Bengal for precise guidance.
