Sirs, we are a retail textile showroom with 1 branch. is it necessary to register Head Office and Branch separately under ESI Act? Both the showrooms have more than 20 staff. Kindly brief me. with thanks J Natarajan

As per the scheme under ESI Act, you can take registration under the State in which your Registered / head office is situated and start compliance of that Registered / head office under ESI registration.
Further you are advised to take sub code registration for your branch office. You will be allotted a sub code registration under main registration. Compliance of branch ESI will be done as per the state ESI law. ESI is not a centralized Act and regulated as per state law.
