dear sir Suppose I have a house which is not register under Local Municipal and also not paying any tax to Local Municipal. I want to show the income from house property when i submit my return.plz suggest me what i do.
As per the case CIT v Podar Cement Private Limited (1997) 226 ITR 625 (SC)
"Owner" is a person who is entitled to receive income from the property in his own right. The requirement of registration of sale deed in the context of sec 22 is not warranted.
