Registered Dealers - Storage outside Registered Premises

This query is : Resolved

26 September 2009 Dear Experts,

Is it necessary to take permission from the Excise Department to store goods (traded) outside the Registered premises, for the Registered Dealer ( Not Manufacturer) ?

Kindly also let me know any instructions, circular, trade notice issued in this regard.

Thanks,

Suren

26 September 2009 Yes you should take prior permission otherwise the goods are stored illegally. That is the reason why when you are registered they take the plan of the building marking your area of operation.
