Regarding signing of tax audit reports

27 September 2013 A prop. died on 30 august 2013. His books are to be audited and tax audit report is to be filed.
I want to know his report will be filed under whose PAN.
Moreover, his wife does not have a PAN and his children are minor.

27 September 2013 In this case PAN will be of the assessee but the legal heir should sign the b/ s etc and other documents wherever necessary.
