Regarding ITR - 80G (Donation) Urgent please help

29 July 2009 I have offered donation Rs 40000/- during year 2008-2009 & i Got receipt against the donation. This has not been mentioned in my Form 16 due to late submission of documents. May i request you to confirm that this can be claimed as deduction under 80G in my Income tax return? please help me int his regards.
