Hello Sir, I have a query regarding VAT, As we are going to set up new factory in SEZ unit HAZIRA, So for construction purpose whatever material we are purchasing from vendors, are issuing bills imposing VAT,But in SEZ unit All material are tax free. So my question is if we pay bill including VAT , will i get credit on this material.

There is a mechanism set under the GVAT for exemption for SEZ units. Section 5A was implemended. However there are some glicths in the same. But one can take the benfit of the same.
