Regarding cs course practical training

This query is : Resolved

29 June 2010 is it compulsory to do practical training after passing 3rd year of CS ?
even if we don't wish to practice as CS in future?
can a all the 3 yrs of CS passed student call himself /herself as a CS without taking practical training of 15 mths or whatever??
please answer this urgently...i specify i dont want to practice as CS in future....still i have to do practical training or it can be skipped??

29 June 2010 Yes it is compulsory to do practical training. It is immaterial whether you do CS practice or not. Training is required to get membership of CS Institute. Without membership you will neither be eligible to be appointed as a Company secretaty of any Company or do CS practice.

29 June 2010 Completion of 15 months training is must in CS to get ICSI membership number...Few students choose dummy training...

There is a provision where you may get an exemption from CS training on fulfillment of certain conditions...for exact info visit ICSI office....

All the Best

29 June 2010 I would like to say thanks to both of you sir for such a immediate response :)
actually i wanna work as a MBA in future but since i am going through BCOM route i have selected this CS course to accompany my graduation.

So slight change in question.
I neither want to practice as CS nor would like to do job as a CS. Since I am going for MBA. So would your answer still be same for practical training?

30 June 2010 Yes my answer remain same...if you want to complete your CS and want membership number 15 month training is must.

Without membership number CS is technically incomplete.

Thanks

02 July 2010 for getting membership u have to complete Articleship of 15 month.
