17 February 2011 Pls tell can we claim deduction u/s 80C for Bank FD and also If we take bank limit on that FD that Can we also claim deduction u/s 80C

17 February 2011 yes you can claim 80 C deduction on 5years bank FD.

17 February 2011 Also.. do remember that any FD with 5 year validity is not eligible for section 80C.

There are certain guidelines which needs to be followed to get this deduction.
