Recently i have filed income tax return thru online & i have refund in my return. While filling my tax return my mistake i have written details of Bank i.e. closed by me. Department have issued me a refund cheque by mentioning closed bank account no., So from where i have to rectify the mistake & issue fresh cheque to claim my refund. I need ur guidlines or procedure for that. Kindly advice me so that i can go ahead to rectify the mistake done while filling form & issue fresh cheque from Income Tax Department.

If return is filed online than most probably cheque will issued from State Bank India,Income tax Refund Order,Andheri, Mumbai Contact to them on toll free no. 18004259760 Write them a letter about it and send them with wrong cheque and a canceled cheque of you bank a/c and submit a copy of it to your local income tax ward also.
