My friend filed his I.T. return on 6/9/2013 for the A.Y. 2013-14. But he got some mistake in fill up the ITR because he calculated the tax wrongly. My question is this, can he rectified it now?

Even though you computed tax liability at the time of filing of return of income the CPC/IT Department shall compute tax liability at the time of process(means your tax computation in the return form is not reliable to the department to complete process) and then considers all our tax payments and then decides is any tax payable due or refund or no and issues demand notice or refund cheque/amount as the case.
So you don't worry with about this means about wrong calculation of tax liability. So wait for the receipt of 143(1) intimation from CPC(if online filed and till now not received)or for the notice from AO(if manual filed and you have any demand as per the AO's computation then AO shall issue) even on that intimation also calculated wrong tax as computed in the return form then based on such intimation file 154(1) rectification return.
