Rearding obtaining of TAN No.

18 February 2010 I am chalapathi Rao .Recently a patnership firm converted into a Private limited Company by virtue of Part IX conversion as per Companies Act. Is it essential to have a new TAN No. for the Company converted ? Or old TAN can be continued with the change in status. Please clarify.
