Re-export of Rejected imported material

29 May 2016 Dear Sir so, I am importer of Rubber from Vietnam. One consignment fail to obtain NOC from Rubber board, the government authority to allow imports as it failed in sample testing. I already paid customs duty,SAD and other levies. Can anyone please advise how to proceed for re-export and get back duty paid.

30 July 2016 Under Section 74 of Customs Act 1962 Duty Draw back is allowable on re export of duty paid imported goods. The goods entered for exports should have been imported with in two years from date of payment of duty on the imported goods. This period on sufficient cause being shown is extended by the Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC), Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, Government of India.

24 August 2016 Thank you very much Sir
