R&d expenditure

This query is : Resolved

06 December 2011 Suppose a company incurs inhouse r&d expenditure of rs 9000 and excise is charged on it rs 927, then what is the amount that i will get weighted deduction of 200% on?
is it 9000 or 9927?

and if i am claiming excise input credit of 927 then will i be eligible to get weighted deduction on 9000?

18 December 2011 No, you would be getting deduction on 9000 only as a matter of common parlance. Either you take cenvat on 927 or you you take deduction on whole amount ie 9927.
