Please see the following and advise me suitably :

A, an individual invested Rs.1 Lac in SBI Mutual Fund on 31.03.06.

A received the following amounts on various dates :

10.04.06 – Rs.25376.12 – Treated as Dividend in the accounts

07.04.07 – Rs.18609.15 – Treated as Dividend in the accounts

25.03.08 – Rs.18609.15 – Treated as Dividend in the accounts

11.06.09 – Rs.4736.87 – Treated as Dividend in the accounts

19.03.10 – Rs.6766.96 – Treated as Dividend in the accounts

07.12.10 – Rs.75094.47 – How to treat this amount.

Query

Whether the amounts treated as Dividend are right for the previous years up to 31.03.10.


How to treat the amount Rs.75094.47 ?

What will happen to Rs.1 Lac, if the entire amount Rs.75094.47 is treated as Dividend or

Is it a loss on investment ?

Please advise suitably.

Please check your client whether the earlier amounts where actually dividend.
Also check the nature of Rs.75094 and act accordingly.
Moreover kindly keep in mind the provisions of dividend stripping before claiming the loss.
