WHY COMPANIES NEED TO DISCOSE TO PUBLIC THIER UNAUDITED QUARTELLY RESULT?????I WANNA KNOW WHICH ACT DEMANDS FOR IT?????SEBI ACT OR COMPANIES ACT????

if public co. does not showing its qtr. results as per sebi guidlines from last 3 qtrs then what is the positions of its investors????wht can investors do???wht r the reliefs for investors acr. to sebi guidlines?

As per clause 41 of listing agreements with stock exchange it is mandatory for a listed company to disclose its quarterly results to stock exchange and public.
For an unlisted public company it is not mandatory to disclose its quarterly results to stock exchange or public.
For a public listed company it is mandatory to disclose its quarterly results in accordance with clause 41 of listing agreements. In case of non-compliance STX can take action against the company suo moto or investor can file complaint against the company in sebi or stx.
For a public unlisted company it is not mandatory to disclose its quarterly results in accordance with clause 41 of listing agreements.
In other words in public unlisted company an investor can not ask for quarterly results.

Even if the listed company does not disclose results, the investors don't have much in hand. At the most, they can complaint to SEBI and the stock exchanges who may take action against the errant company.
