I HAVE PROPRIETORSHIP BUSINESS WITH MVAT , CST AND PTEC (MYSELF) REGISTRATION. I HAVE TWO EMPLOYEES . MY MVAT RETURN IS SIX MONTHLY WITH MVAT AUDIT .

DO I NEED TO TAKE PTRC REGISTRATION

21 April 2014 If the salary payment exceeds Rs. 5000, then liability of payment of Profession Tax arises and you have to take registration of PTRC.

but if payment of salary of any of the employee does not exceed 5000 then there is nor requirement for registration neither of making payment.

NOTE: owner have the liability to pay professional tax
