Profit from sale of share

This query is : Resolved

07 March 2016 where the profit on selling of share is shown in case of salaried employee which do not have any business

07 March 2016 Dear
If the share transactions are frequent in nature and are held for short term then it is considered as business income. Otherwise it is non business income.
When it is non business income it is taxable under the head capital gains. Either short term capital gain or long term depending on the period of holding of shares.
