Is there any difference between Profession Tax and Professional Tax? Please explain in detail.

It is a State enactment and money goes to state. Highest slab is Rs.2500.

Both the name are correct. It is atx on
professions, trades, callings and employments.
As regards maximum limit of Rs 2500 per person is concerned, perhaps this limit has been raised to rs 7500/-
