Is Professional Tax is applicable on Professional Fees/ Visiting Faculty remuneration. whoes responsbilty to make payment of Profeesional Tax.we issue Form 16 A to Visiting faculty.Kindly suggest me the relevant act.They are not employee. Pls Guide me on the same.

As per my understanding , it is not applicable on Professional Fees/ Visiting Faculty remuneration. Employer has to deposit the professional tax.

After modification of your query since form 16A is being issued you are paying professional fees and hence not liable for PT deduction.
