17 November 2010 Is profession tax to be deducted on stipend. If no where in the act has it been provided plz help me its urgent.....

18 November 2010 Yes undoubtedly stipend paid to you falls within the ambit of the term'Professional Fees'and so professional tax will be deducted from it......
