which state will deduct the profession tax if the employee is working in indore branch but getting salary from mumbai branch. which rates are applicable whether maharashtra or MP.

Profession tax need to be deducted wherein the name of employee is registered and books are maintained irrespective of the fact where he/she is working.
In all cases it is Maharashtra.
