Practice in a firm?

This query is : Resolved

15 November 2010 I just have got the membership number and have also got full time COP but have not yet registered my firm with ICAI. Please tell me whether there is any benefit of doing practice by creating a proprietory firm or just continue practice with my name.

17 November 2010 It is always benefical to register your proprietor firm instead of doing practice in individual name. In bank audit as well as goverment audit it is more benefical that you carry your practice in the name of propritory instead of your individual name.

18 November 2010 Agree with expert...

Dear Deepak,

For a good start of your career i would advise you to join a good reputed CA firm...brush up your skills...enjoy the work load...create new relations...learn how to handle and deal with clients...after that register and practice under your own firm.

All the Best

18 November 2010 As usual agreed with Ankur.

In my opinion, If you want to have general practice, firm may be useful And if you are expertising in any specific field (service tax, DT,VAT etc.,)better to be in individual's name.
